Arkansas VINE Custody Coverage
Arkansas VINE stands for Victim Information and Notification Everyday. The Arkansas Division of Correction describes it as a free, anonymous service run by the Arkansas Crime Information Center. It monitors custody status across county jails, the state Division of Correction, probation, parole, post-release supervision, and court data supplied by prosecuting attorneys' offices.
You can reach the service through VINELink or by phone at 1-800-510-0415. The phone line runs around the clock all year. English and Spanish are both available, with a live operator on hand. Searching and registering are separate steps. Finding a record does not create an alert.
Statewide county-jail language does not name the Craighead County Detention Center directly. Check the live selector. Confirm Craighead County or its jail appears there. Do not assume participation from the statewide description alone.
The live VINELink search page displays the current jurisdiction list and search fields:
The live screen is the place to verify available Arkansas jurisdictions and current search choices before entering a person's details.
Search Craighead County VINELink Records
Start with the most exact identifiers you have. Arkansas allows searches by name, offender or booking number, case number, or ADC number. Supervision records can use a probation, parole, or post-release PID instead. Not every field fits every county-jail record.
- Open VINELink and choose Arkansas from the jurisdiction selector.
- Select Craighead County, the detention center, or the relevant agency if the live interface offers that choice.
- Search by the person's full name. Add an offender, booking, case, ADC, or supervision identifier when the form and record type allow it.
- Review all possible matches. Compare date of birth, identifier, facility, and custody state instead of choosing the first similar name.
- Open the matching record and read the status date, location, and any stated event information.
A brand-new arrest may not appear yet. Try the Craighead County 24-hour arrests page instead. That county feed records each booking event. VINELink serves a different role, tracking the custody status that drives its notification system.
Note: Keep search terms narrow but test known name variants, since punctuation, spacing, and agency data can affect a match.
What Craighead VINELink May Show
The fields change depending on the record type. County jail, state prison, supervision, and court data each carry their own set. A scheduled date can move at any time. Treat each value as a snapshot, and confirm major decisions with the agency holding the person.
| Possible field | Meaning and limit |
|---|---|
| Name and date of birth | Identity checks that help separate people with similar names. |
| Offender or booking number | An agency identifier that can provide a stronger match than name alone. |
| Current custody status | The status sent to VINE; it can change after release, transfer, or later processing. |
| Location | The facility or agency location supplied with the record, not necessarily the arrest scene. |
| Scheduled release date | A planned date where supplied, not a guarantee of the exact release time. |
| Parole or PPS eligibility | A state correctional field that may apply to ADC matters, not a routine county booking. |
| Next court event | May include event type, date, time, and place when a prosecutor's office supplies court data. |
VINELink is not a mugshot search. Booking photos live elsewhere. This tool does not replace the county roster, the arresting agency's report, or the court docket either. For who was arrested in Craighead County, pair VINE with the local booking feeds.
Craighead VINE Data Transfer Times
Each record system moves on its own schedule. County-jail data transfers every fifteen minutes, day and night, all week. Division of Correction data moves hourly. Court data transfers once daily. So do probation, parole, and post-release supervision records.
These are transfer schedules, not promises that a Craighead County booking appears at an exact minute after arrest. Intake, agency coding, identity matching, and release processing can each add delay before data is ready. The county publishes no guaranteed booking-to-VINE time.
| Arkansas data source | Stated transfer schedule |
|---|---|
| County jails | Every fifteen minutes, around the clock |
| Arkansas Division of Correction | Hourly |
| Court information | Once daily |
| Probation, parole, and post-release supervision | Once daily |
That schedule gap explains a lot of the confusion. Parts of one person's record can seem to disagree with each other. A jail event may transfer before a matching court event does. Always read the data type first. Check the status date as well, and only then judge whether a result is stale.
Register for Craighead Custody Alerts
Registration starts after you locate the right record. The live form controls the choices for that person and jurisdiction. Standard VINE registration uses a phone or email route. A PIN or other security step may follow. Because labels on the site can change, follow the fields on the live screen rather than a memorized set of steps.
- Verify the person with more than a name and open the correct VINELink record.
- Choose the notification or registration action attached to that record.
- Select an offered contact method, such as telephone or email, and enter it carefully.
- Create or confirm the PIN or security step shown. Keep a phone PIN private.
- Save the confirmation and follow the instructions for testing, changing, or ending the notice.
A search result is not a registration. Look for on-screen confirmation before moving on. If the phone route or PIN step is unclear, call Arkansas VINE at 1-800-510-0415. Alerts can help with planning. They should never be a whole safety plan by themselves.
Note: Do not share a registration PIN, since it may be needed to confirm receipt or manage a telephone notification.
Release and Transfer Alert Meaning
A release alert means a custody change reached VINE. A transfer means the person moved between facilities, agencies, or custody systems as the source data shows.
Compare the notice against the live record. For a county booking, the official Recent Releases view may show a release time during its rolling 48-hour window. ADC records lean on state correctional fields. If a notice seems wrong, call the facility through a verified government number. Never reply to the alert itself. Do not tap links inside it either.
The official Craighead County Victim/Witness Assistance program page lists support services for victims:
Need a hand with VINE or ADC alerts? The local program posts a direct line for Craighead County users. Call 870-972-9593 when the notification setup gets confusing. A county contact can walk you through registration and keep your custody alerts on track.
Limits of a Craighead VINELink Check
VINE only shows what agencies feed it. So a missing result proves little. The county selection might be wrong, or the name could differ from the booking entry. Intake may still be underway, the person may have moved to another system, or the agency may not appear in the search you chose.
Federal custody is a different world. VINELink is not the Bureau of Prisons locator, nor is it a public U.S. Marshals locator. ICE coverage is not guaranteed either. When the custody you know about is federal, go through the responsible federal agency's own channel instead of forcing the name through an Arkansas county search.
VINELink stops at custody status. It gives no court disposition, no full incident report, and no booking photo. For the official roster and records-request channels, turn to the Craighead County arrest-record guide, then check Arkansas Courts for case history.
Use Craighead Custody Notices Safely
Stay organized while you wait. Keep the person's identifier, the facility name, your registration confirmation, and verified phone numbers in one place. When a notice arrives, read the stated event and time closely. Then confirm it through VINELink or the agency itself. Never confront a person over an alert. Victims and witnesses who need support can reach the county Victim/Witness Assistance program.
Custody shifts fast, and technology can fail. Update your contact details whenever the service allows it. One email or one call should never be your only warning.
