Information You Submit
Search Terms
A name or place entered in a search box is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. This site does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider's rules apply to the query it receives.
Messages
If you email or submit a contact message, we keep the information needed to read and answer it. We do not share the message outside our organization unless the law requires disclosure.
Technical Data Collected Automatically
A page visit may create standard technical and usage records, including:
- Internet Protocol address;
- browser name and version;
- device type and operating system;
- pages viewed and time spent;
- the referring site, when available; and
- visit dates and timestamps.
Cookies
Cookies help measure how visitors use the site. Browser controls can reject or remove them, although some features may then work in a different way.
How Data Is Used
Collected data may be used to:
- operate the site and keep it responsive;
- send a search request to the chosen partner;
- understand which guides visitors use;
- diagnose faults and improve security; and
- display advertising that may reflect user interests.
Websites Reached by Links
Links may lead to the Craighead County roster, booking feeds, sheriff or corrections pages, government portals, and outside search tools. Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination's privacy policy governs its collection and use of data.
Advertising partners may use their own systems to track activity across websites for interest-based ads. That tracking occurs under their controls and policies, not ours.
Parties That May Receive Data
We do not sell personal information. Data may still be disclosed to:
- search partners that process a submitted query;
- analytics providers that measure site use;
- advertising networks that serve ads; and
- law-enforcement or government bodies responding to a valid legal order.
Security Measures
We use reasonable, standard practices to protect the information under our control. No website, network, or storage method is fully secure, so we cannot promise that a breach will never occur.
Visitors Under Eighteen
This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted data may contact us to request deletion.
Your Privacy Choices
Subject to applicable law, a person may ask us to:
- provide a copy of personal data we hold;
- correct inaccurate personal information;
- erase eligible personal data; or
- stop certain forms of processing.
Requests can be sent through the Contacts page. Rights relating to data held by a linked sheriff, court, government portal, or search provider must be exercised with that party.
Changes to This Notice
We may revise this privacy notice as the site or its practices change. A revised version takes effect when posted here with a new effective date.
